Updated: Aug 22

Welcome to the Viking 90SB Sportfish. The flagship of the well-regarded Viking line. This beautiful beast is the pinnacle of the sportfishing world.

At an overall length of 90 feet and a beam of 23 feet, powered by twin MTU series 2000 V16 M96L engines, this yacht is a completely new design costing over $20 million dollars to develop with an interesting backstory as to why it replaced the Viking 92 that can be seen here. And she is stunning. For just over $15.5 million dollars this yacht fills the mega yacht and sportfishing rolls with style. With attention to detail, even down to the faux wood finish on the speaker covers, she is sure to impress.

With an enormous cockpit measuring over 224 square feet and a two-level mezzanine with seating facing aft, this design is made for everyone to enjoy all the action happening at the stern. There is tons of clever storage and air-conditioned seating for all to enjoy, all while being accessible to the cockpit, making it easy to jump into the action when the bite is on.

Stepping into the salon from the upper mezzanine, the Viking 90 Sky Bridge feels more like a mega yacht than a sportfish. Luxuriously appointed, a large seating area on the port side is the perfect spot for anglers to rest during downtime on the long-range fishing yacht. The light and airy salon seems to go on forever, with a large dining area just beyond the lounge seating. Forward in the salon on the starboard side is a well-appointed wrap-around galley. Opposite the U-shaped seating, there is a hidden pop-up 65” TV and a wet bar with an ice maker. This salon can easily accommodate a dozen people and still not feel crowded.

The fully equipped galley includes two Sub Zero refrigerators, a Freezer, and a four-burner cooktop. This is all surrounded by gorgeous stone countertops and five bar stools for entertaining. Moving further forward, there is a roomy and well-appointed head. One of seven

You step down from amidships and enter a long hallway leading to the bow. Walking down the hall, the feeling is light and inviting, drawing you forward. Immediately to port is a roomy stateroom (one of six) with plenty of cabinets and a comfortable bunk. Moving down the hall, we encounter another stateroom to starboard. This one is bigger, with a walk-around bed and more closet space. It has a nice head with a surprisingly roomy shower. Walking further toward the bow at the end of the hall is a very well-appointed stateroom with a spacious bed, plenty of storage, and an even larger head. On many yachts, this would be the master stateroom, but not on the Viking 90.

Back down the hall to amidships and stepping down a few stairs, you enter the master stateroom. Befitting of a mega yacht, the stateroom is voluminous and luxurious. With large ports on both sides, it is filled with natural light and supplemented with led lighting. This all adds to the feeling of spaciousness. To the rear of the bed are large his and her bathrooms with a huge common shower in the center. A great design with lots of room.

The crew quarters consist of two separate staterooms with twin bunks and another head that is located just outside the engine room at the lower level of the yacht.

Down the hall, a bit from the master stateroom is a closet containing a full-size washer and dryer.

Walking back towards the stern through the salon and up a flight of stairs just behind the wet bar, you enter the enclosed flybridge. This roomy and extremely comfortable flybridge feels more like a salon with spacious seating on both sides of the captain's chair and a settee aft. It is a great place to sit and enjoy the journey. The helm is equipped with five massive displays and the latest in marine technology expertly installed by AME, Viking’s own marine electronics company. There is certainly nothing lacking at this helm.
